Christopher “Kit” Johnson, AIA has been practicing architecture for over 30 years. With a desire to have an intimate working relationship with his clients and more control over the design process, he is currently operating a mixed-practice of commercial and residential architecture as a sole practitioner — Christopher “Kit” Johnson Architect. CKJ Architect and CKJ Works are subsidiaries of Architecture 365, Inc. the company he has shared with his interior designer wife since the year 2000.
He was the co-founder of Hailey | Johnson Architects and Architecture 365. A graduate of The University of Texas School of Architecture, he is a licensed architect in the State of Texas and has earned accreditations as a LEED AP in Building Design & Construction, and as an accredited professional with the Congress for the New Urbanism. He served 5 1/2 years as the City Architect for the City of Austin and 2 years as the University Architect for St. Edward’s University and was inducted into the Association of University Architects.
