An equine veterinarian by day, and night, and weekends; I make oil paintings of mostly landscapes. Some still lifes, some animals. No nudes, thank you.
I mean the animals are nude. I’m not dressing up my dog. Not for one of my paintings.
I also write. I write nonsensical captions for my Instagram posts. And I wrote part one of my James Herriot-esque humorous veterinarian memoir, as of yet unpublished. Contact me for movie rights.

I’m about to start book two. Any minute here. I also sometimes write stand up comedy that I perform. I’ve mostly performed in front of unimpressed open mic crowds but have developed a niche of telling horse vet jokes at our national horse vet conference. This is a niche that will never pay and will lead to less than no notoriety. It does provide the largest and least stoned audiences that I am likely to ever perform for.

One day I hope to combine my book writing and stand up writing on a book tour. So far, my only book tours have been me paying to travel while I read other people’s books.
I have no idea how oil painting, writing and comedy go together, much less what they have to do with equine medicine. There’s probably a poop joke that explains it, but I try hard to work clean, so don’t think about it too hard.
